Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Elizabeth Brinton came to love the wilderness while on long canoe trips. These voyages led to a fascination with the events that transpired in the earliest days of New England.  Elizabeth studied creative writing in Toronto, San Diego, Davis and Oakland California where she graduated from Mills College. Currently, she resides with her family in the beautiful lake district of North Idaho. My American Eden, Mary Dyer :Martyr for Freedom, is her first work of historical fiction. She is currently working on a novel about winning and losing, competition and rivalry, set in a Canadian hockey family.
